Conservation & Environment

Protecting today’s landscape for tomorrow’s generations.

Rooksnest Estate is committed to conservation through Countryside Stewardship and Sustainable Farming Incentive schemes, promoting biodiversity, protecting historic landscapes, enhancing public access, and safeguarding natural resources. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and home to a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, the Estate carefully manages land to protect rare habitats and species. Initiatives such as the creation of Jubilee Lake and the planting of mixed native woodlands support wildlife, improve soil health, reduce flooding and pollution, and contribute to carbon capture—helping meet national targets to expand UK woodland cover by 2050.
