Livestock

Rooksnest Estate is home to a diverse collection of livestock roaming its parkland and countryside. A striking herd of Red Deer live in the parkland of the Estate, whilst fallow, roe and muntjac live wild and move freely across the Estate. At its heart is a herd of Pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle, grass-fed and traditionally reared, producing well-marbled beef sold directly to customers in mixed beef boxes. The Estate also cares for rare-breed sheep, including Derbyshire Gritstone and Valais Blacknose, preserving traditional bloodlines, while alpacas—Tupak, Ray and Faith—live alongside them, valued for their hardy nature and soft, luxurious fleeces.
