Flora & Fauna
Rooted in tradition. Growing for the future.
Rooksnest Estate actively protects and enhances its flora and fauna through sensitive land management, wildflower margins, hedgerow restoration, beetle banks, cover crops and extensive tree planting. Seasonal highlights include sweeping displays of bluebells and wild orchids in unimproved grassland. A designated SSSI area supports the rare Duke of Burgundy butterfly, carefully monitored and protected, while diverse habitats across the Estate sustain deer, hares, foxes, hedgehogs and many smaller mammals—reflecting a long-term commitment to strengthening biodiversity.
